THE MODEL CONSPIRACY

It's exactly 5 years from the time I had my convocation ceremony for my Bachelors degree and I can't but reflect on the journey thus far. Taking stock of my dreams back then and seeing the fulfillment of those dreams re-enforces my resolve that dreams do come true. One of the turning-point of my life was when a certain bright young man walked up to me, 5 days after my last exam in a Schlumberger Career Fair, invited me for a meeting; an extra ordinary meeting I would call it. The meeting was crammed with notable talented final year student from various disciplines, various fellowships but were all Christians. The theme of the meeting was a synergy of talented individuals towards becoming Role Models, not just any model but African Role Models.

Is Experience the Best Teacher?

I have come to understand that decision making is one of the hardest tasks to accomplish especially between two immutable things. You can not help but think the pathway you forsook for the one you are taking may be the right one after all. This thought in itself is very troubling and a sense to run the forsaken path becomes heavy on your mind. Imagine a friend of mine announced that she was not interested in marrying her fiancé just 2 days to the introduction. In her own words «I am still in love with my former boyfriend and I am happy to call off this relationship (referring to the abolished relationship). Could this be true or the typical dilemma that faces decision making?

A WEEKEND OF APPRECIATION

And who else to thank but God who is my source of inspiration in every step I take and my dear readers especially those who give feedback through comments, filling the contact forms and sending mails. There are also some readers that tell their friends about this site and to you I really appreciate it (and I want to let you into a secret – whatever you make happen for others, God will make happen for you).
