For the Love of money………

Average time to read4:10 minutes aprox.

Schemes are abound everywhere and they seem to be the mainstream in Nigeria; every employee is talking about them. Forums, blogs, sites and even mine are crammed with money making schemes. Are these schemes sustainable? Naturally, I would say no to that. Can these schemes make you say «bye-bye» to poverty; then I would proudly say it depends on the person. Almost all (if not all) schemes with High Yield Investment are Ponzi and it doesn't take a genius to know that but most times people are blinded by money that they just never want to know. The Bible stated clearly that Adam knew that Eve was deceived, but he went along.

ISSUES SURROUNDING THE INTERN SHOW

Average time to read5:22 minutes aprox.

The first and the pilot season of the intern show has come to an end with Afolabi Adetola becoming the intern. A deep reflection about the show and the outcomes for their various tasks has actually taught me some lessons which I am always willing to share with my ever-loyal readers. I may not have preferred Afolabi as the winner of the intern but I am glad the scripture was fulfilled. Let me start by applauding the organizers of the intern and their sole sponsor Bank PHB for organizing such a show; a show of this magnitude breathes a new wave into the youths of Nigeria and reframes their mindset from models engaged in 419, drop-outs that become football genius, musicians that attract fame and actors that act in our burgeoning Nollywood to a more educated and balanced business guru. Every youth would want to be the intern; every youth especially the unemployed graduates (who are close to my heart) would want to give a shot and thus would be forced to go through the road less traveled of studying.

The Road Less Traveled

Average time to read6:32 minutes aprox.

About 2 years ago, I was invited to speak in the biannual conference of the Student Christian Movement held in Ife, Osun State. I was very happy about this invitation because my words and thoughts would be exposed to almost every university in Nigeria from Zanfara to Maiduguri down to Cross River State (at least the Christian Body), I wanted to empower my audience with a life-skill that would not be erased from their memory even if they were hit with the worst of amnesia.  My strategy was simple; get the audience involved in a discussion section that gets them so hooked (wow) then I would unleash my words. Arriving on the podium that said day and seeing so many students from various back grounds melted my already frugal soul; I could feel the spirit of anticipation as all eyes beckoned towards me to speak.

LIFE IS A GIFT!

Average time to read1:59 minutes aprox.

Gratitude to God is one of the greatest discovery of abundance living and the ability to recognize and implement this simile unpopular element is the breakthrough to success (which ever stead you belong). «They soon forget!» these are words from the Holy Scripture depicting human frailties to remember their previous state. A woman is in die need of a divorce forgetting her wedding day, a man commits adultery forgetting the sacrifice of his wife, an unemployed graduate complains of his/her state forgetting his/her ordeal as an undergraduate, etc. These examples signify man's response to amnesia. I was reading my mail today and saw this write-up that spoke volumes to me and trust me to share it with my faithful readers. Enjoy!
