THE MLM BUY-IN
Average time to read4:33 minutes aprox.«You would always have the poor among you,» - Jesus speaking to his disciples in Mathew 26: 11
Â
In the world of business today where competition forces every business outfit to venture the creative plane, out-of-box thinking would slowly become the norm. I have personally taking my time to understand why everybody can never be rich (or should I put it more succinctly; why only a few can be financially endowed). If there were only 100 people in an ideal democratic country (in trying not get complex, try and imagine a country without demographic structure; sex, population, etc), and each person were giving a million dollars. 10 years down the line, one person would own 100 million dollars out of the 100 people, 2 people would own 10 million dollars, 4 people would own 1 million dollars, 8 people would own 250 thousand dollars, and the rest would own less than 10 thousand dollars. I am sure most of you (the smart ones) would start calculating and doing permutation to see if the numbers add up. The numbers can never add up if you look at the country as an island; the country would definitely engage in international trade and emigrational hook-ups.
Â
Â
Now I would expound on my stats on a later write-up so I can delve into the theme of this write-up. There has been a certain level of stigmatization associated with MLM and this is definitely a perspective issue based on the experience of expectations not met in some recent online MLM program. Expectations are based on information given (whether accurate or not). Most online MLM program were popularized through this blog (the NOSPETCO thread to be exact) and the information given were partially accurate. Since, the informants (including me) never expounded on the value offered by these online MLM program, people would definitely gravitate towards the financial rewards. I have been fortunate to participate in only 4 of the online MLM program promoted in the comment section of the NOSPETCO thread and I have been fortunate that none of them have fizzled out into thin air like most HYIP. The 4 of them include CF, DCC, GW and recently 6Star. The truth of the matter is that if they had fizzled out, I would definitely not have bothered because I categorized them as HYIP (High Yield, High Risk) and this I communicated SUCCINCTLY in all my promotions of these 4 programs.
Â
My categorizing them as HYIP was definitely not the true picture of these MLM program but seeing them as such helped me to succeed in all their reward programs. I really do not like the normal traditional HYIP Programs because I have got my fingers burnt in some of them and I have vowed never to participate in any of them. I have a friend who invests heavily in these HYIP Programs despite the fact that we both got burnt in the ones we participated, he believes in high risk and ventures into it with a winning formula that makes him profit exceedingly. Now because I do not believe in HYIP does not mean people are not succeeding in it and cleaning out big time. They definitely have a winning formula. I am sorry for the diversion but what I am trying to pass across to you is that all the online MLM program I participated in are not about the financial rewards; the financial rewards are just attractions to the value they are offering in exchange for your money for example;
1. Club Freedom sells you a Certificate that gives you access to Whole Sale Prices to Holidays
2. Diamond Cash Club sells you a voucher that gives you access to buy Gemstones worth 300 dollars in their online Gem Stone store.
This is what they sell you but the financial reward systems are MLM based. Using the MLM platform as a means to distribute and promote you product is an out-of-the-box approach to marketing and it has been proven to be effective. Because it does not follow the traditional approach does not make it illegal. Today there are thousands of MLM companies operating throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Japan and the Pacific Basin. Â
Â
Now something happened in the office that made me write this article; we all know that Nigerians are very skeptical about taking life insurance policy especially the Christians who believe they would not die soon. So when the insurance sales agent approaches any of my colleagues, my colleagues simply talk their way out of it. Recently, the insurance company presents their life insurance in terms of long term investment but Nigerians are too smart to buy-in because they quickly calculate inflation indexes and find out it is not worth the trouble (What can I say? We are Nigerians). Something happened that broke the jinx surrounding insurance companies' life insurance product (well one insurance company). The Insurance Company In Question is WAPIC Insurance (soon to be called Intercontinental Insurance based on Intercontinental Bank majority share). They introduced an MLM program to the life insurance scheme and almost everybody in my office now has a life insurance scheme through WAPIC. For more details on the scheme; please, click HERE to contact me.
Â
The Life Insurance product was the same everyday life insurance product but with the introduction of the MLM option, the buy-in was incredulous. This illustrates the difference between the rich and the poor; while the poor continues complaining that something would not work, the rich are looking for a way out of the seeming impossible thing. I wonder why the poor would expect to be rich if they are not ready to make the sacrifices that the rich undergo. Now WAPIC has penetrated my company while other insurance companies have not been able to with the same product. The funny part of it is that only few would get the reward but those that don't get it would not bother because they have a life insurance which is a vital product in every individual's life (whether Nigerian perceive it as such). This is the same thing with online MLM, the products are there to enjoy though most Nigerians are not interested in Holiday Travel or Gemstones but like WAPIC insurance company, it was able to sell its product with the Financial Reward in view.
Â
In the light of the above summation, NNC pre-launches with registration today @ about 11.45a.m. It also has an MLM program which is optional and has a free entrance for a limited period of time. The faster you join, the easier it is to reap the financial reward of more than 650K. You may click HERE to obtain link and pin to join. I am likely to put the link in the comment box for those who are interested in perusing the site. Check it out!

I commended all who have contributed re NNC both for and against.
My advice is for us to give this opportunity a chance, commend those who came up with this initiative and our criticism should be constructive as we need to start from somewhere.
Some of us in diaspora have joined despite that we are not at home to use starcomm but our family are there to enjoy this benefits. Let support good idea and offer suggestion to make things better.
Nigeria will be great!Those in the UK/Europe who need more info can contact me via bayopl@yahoo.com

godsman,
I think i agree with your position. Since we know for a fact that the motivation for people joining will be the cash rewards, this would surely take the shine off the main objective of setting up the club if my understanding is correct. But like dipo pointed out, in this part of the world people seem to be more interested in the cash rewards for cycling and bilieve me they'll still cry foul if they don't get any reward despite being warned that not all would enjoy that part of the benefit. A complex world we live in ain't it.

@Dipo,
Take your time o, my ID is 'delagasky' and dele.....(lol), added to the full contact details needed on the website of the as stated by godsman above, i think more things need to be added. for one, the vision and mission statements of the club needs be added.
And.....i still think the club could have done without the MLM part. Its still strange that pple have not come here to be pasting their links soliciting for DLs.....or is it early days yet?

Hello Dipo,
Congrats to you guys.
How come the MLM aspect is being managed by a foreign firm when we are talking of made in naija stuffs? Lol..
That's by the way.
I remember in one of my previous coments i did say that the NNC seems to be for the big guys and the fees (and its bi-annual renewals) goes to confirm this. Can one make installmental payments?
I also mentioned then that the MLM shouldn't be the motivating factor for membership eventhough one may decide to take advantage of it. But with the way the deals seem concentrated in lagos, promoting the club outside this area may soley depend on the MLM dimension. or what do you think?
The NN site cut short of displaying the details/addresses of the directors or managers as i also canvassed then.
I would like to know if members will enjoy a free or discounted advertisment of goods kind of esp. intellectual properties as a way of promoting creativity and encouraging/developing potentails.
I trully believe there is more to the NNC than the MLM or else it may go the way of the others sooner rather than later.
Good bless Nigeria!

@delagasky,
Thanks for your response.
I don't have to look around for deolu akinyemi's detail. He should put his name and
address on the contact us page as against the mere email address. CF, DCC etc all
indicated their location and addresses on the contact pages. We should also do same
by placing appropriate, legal location and addresses and other contact information.
The MLM should not be the driving force here and that's my take. Let the deals be
available and should be the main thing why people will join. A lot of people have
signed up with different user names including our own 'poet'.
I feel that shouldn't be the case here if we really want NNC to stand the true test of
time otherwise, it will soon grind to a halt on the MLM level eventually. Look for the
gs series (i believe that's Generis Solution) and sc series (Saggezza Consulting) and
quite a number of other multiple slots. We shouldn't deceive ourselves, let's be
realistic. I believe in the NEW NIGERIA DREAM and I believe the deal is the best way
to start off. There are over 200 boards already and multiple slots have cycled out
already even though they are the same individuals - Charity series, because as
expected gullible nigerians will join the 'early birds' syndrome. I can boldly say that
NNC was given birth to in order to KILL other MLMs. But hey guys beware, you have
downlines under you in so many other schemes, what are you doing to placate their
anger? A word is enough!!
