Money allows you to dream out your passion- sometimes practicality is the foundation you require- in the short term of course.

for every labor,there is profit...bible
truth of the matter is,why do we go in circles to acuire all the clks, mansions and swiss accounts in exhange for our true pupose for life?money in itself is a means to an end and not an end...just like in the post even in the film itself we go in circles chasing money at the expense of following our true purpose.we all crave for importance in one way or the other and the reward may not be money,it could be fame, recognition and all other trappings that come with it.mother theresa may not have had all the money but she lived a life of purpose. Why are we so different with what we enjoy participating in? Is this psychological, biological or spiritual? i believe it is spiritual because everone was created for the express glory of God so everthing that is physical is born out of the spiritual.why do we chase money?for self gratification,so that we can get what we want.so people think the more money i have the happier i become.that in itself is an illusion.or else why did the young rich ruler seek for something to fill the void the money he had couldnt fill?same explains why lalit modi and kunle afolayan are where they are today.i really want to be rich but not at the expense of my purpose in life.lots of american superstars with all the fame and fortune secretly wish that they can give away all of that to get their life back..God hid eternity in the heart of man(eccl 3:11)..man continaully seeks for that one thing that would make him happy but it is concealed within him.he only has to look inward to find that out for that is how we can know the inner promptings and just like dipo said .the longings for a life of purpose and fulfilment starts with the creator himself..just like royal price said,At times frustrations and challenges in the alternatives are the recipes we need to discover our passion.
its harder knowing the purpose than living the purpose.until Abraham came to a deeper understanding of his purpose,God changed his name and not only that he believed it to a point that at old age he had ishmael(didnt consider his bod dead) ven though he wasnt that child of promise.why?he saw by faith nations tied to his destiny and that changed everything.we all are the seed of abraham.
enough said,its project after talkaction!
thanks dipo.

you know most times, we live in a balance between the two, because we believe our passion will not fetch us money as fast as we want.
well done, dipo

Hello Dipo,
Nice you are back to «telent and the talented»
I have said in some of my previous comments and would say it again, that whenever passion (or talent) is turned into a career, it always result in fame, stardom and even wealth.
Our society seem to favour the it-is-money-first mentality though, things are begining to change. this xplains why we now see bankers turned artistes, doctors turned politicians and the likes event hough the bottomline is thier quest for better life which by xtension means more dough.
At times frustrations and challenges in the alternatives are the recipes we need to discover our passion.
I am always fascinated by your take on some conventional views on certain issues. Very thought provoking as usual.
Luv U!

Really interesting reading. Hope this thoughts will spread across Nigeria, that people should chase their passion and not money.

passion over money all the way! If you are passionate about it, then you can make money off of it. if you are not, well then the road might get a little bumpy.

Hi everyone---Dipo I must say that indeed we all need to listen to our intuition for us to really follow our passion.
The Bible made us to understand that God cannot relate with us as He should if our thoughts doesn't tally we He has in stock for us---So that it will not look as if God is Forcing something on us---But rather we should accept it willingly.
Locating our Passion and Vision is of paramount importance as we strive to excel in all our endeavours.
If you don't locate/and or know your God given Vision---How can you know your Passion?
Personally---I love doing charity work to help people in my own little way---I've a very strong passion to for helping those in need....by reason that passion very soon i intend to establish a Philanthropic organisation that i'll use as my platform to render selfless service for the betterment of humanity. Even though i haven't really achieve what i intend to achieve in order to be well able to reach out to others....Passion will not let me be.
Life is all about living for others to live and the world will be a better place.
In closing i would like to say that---To keep-on-keeping-on we've to be really passionate about all we do......and the monetary reward will follow.
It's passion that build businesses (and all you intend to do) not ambition.
It's well.
