i couldnt agree with you more on the fire your boss dimensions..jobs meant everything to an average nigerian..take their job from them and it's as if the world is crumblin down on them. one aspect u left out though is havin multiple streams of income generatin sources that wouldnt require your physical presence to thrive. thumbs up DIPO you re doin a great job with your blog!

This is a thoughtful one. There is need for one to make his/herself almost indispensable in an organisation. Be that as it may be, the bottomline is that one should plan for the rainy day because it will always come. Build multiple streams of income even while in your comfort zone in the office. Rediscover yourself, it is never too late. Please read the businessday newspaper of thursday, june 19, 2008 - Use your PC and make money in stocks. As bearish as the Nigerian stock market is presently, people are taking position knowing that the market will rise again. Take care.

Money answers all things-bible.
Obama Spent Most of $3 Million This Year on Google.Among social networking sites, Facebook appears to be the winner, scoring about $47,000 in online ad dollars from the Obama camp. Some of those line items were payments of less than $100, indicating some Facebook purchases may have been made by state or local branches of the campaign. MySpace collected about $11,500 from Obama for America through April, while Community Connect, publisher of ethnic and lifestyle-oriented social networks, took in about $5,000. ....Sen. Barack Obama outspent Hillary Clinton in television campaign advertisements this year, TNS Media Intelligence/CMAG and the Wisconsin Advertising Project reported today.
In total, Obama spent $75 million on advertising, eclipsing Clinton's $46 million and the amount spent by all Republican candidates combined.Candidates have spent nearly $200 million in campaign advertising so far, and Democrats spent $135 million of that total. Republicans spent $57 million, according to the study.
Clinton and Obama spent about the same amount through Super Tuesday, but Obama outspent Clinton by a ratio of more than 3 to 1 in states with primaries from Feb. 9 to 19. Following those primaries, Clinton spent half as much as the Obama campaign on advertising.
Obama won nine states and 118 delegates from Feb. 5 to 19, a time in which he out-advertised the Clinton campaign. But, according to the study, Obama's spending on advertising was not the singular factor in his victory in those states. State demographics and other factors must be considered. He lost in other states - Ohio, Texas and Pennsylvania -- where he spent more than Clinton on advertising. The study also found : (from the press release)
 Since securing the Republican Party's nomination, Senator McCain has concentrated his advertising in states that will likely be competitive in the general election. His top targets include Ohio, West Virginia, Iowa, and New Mexico.
 Throughout the campaign, Barack Obama has narrated a greater percentage of his campaign ads than Senator Clinton. Obama appears narrating more than 70 percent of his ads, while Clinton narrates only 35 percent of her ads.
The election of Sen Barack Obama would ignite hope in the hearts of many as it shows the audacity of hope which means «never give up on your dream.keep doing that one thing you know so well, one day the reward will come»....prov22:29 in the KJV says
«Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men» while the version bible in basic english says of the same verse » Have you seen a man who is expert in his business? he will take his place before kings; his place will not be among low persons».
being the best has its price,it involves the pains of never-ending continous self improvement.we dont just have to go through life but grow through life for therein lies the secret joys of life..

I lack words to express how prfound the nuggets contained in this thought provoking piece are.
It reminds me of one of the statement credited to shell MD recently regarding the downsizing of its workforce. He said they have asked some workers to voluntarily retire (or is it resign?) but that there are those whom the company would not let go even if they want to retire due to thier productivity.
AM i increasing my company's business or just managing it? An issue every employee must adequately and personnaly address.
Many thanks Dipo.
Luv U!
