I have been thinking seriously about having a second wife especially after God has blessed me with a successful marriage. I remember the words of a lady friend that dispel my cold feet towards my wedding; «A good wife is a life time asset». Well, she was a trained accountant, so using such parlance to describe her opinion on the issue of marriage did not seem offensive to the other ladies who were gathered with us.
Shock actually begets me when I reviewed the data from a Microfinance research on business outfits with the highest weekly turnover in my area (which I can regard as a suburb). I could see the relevant of this type of research to a Microfinance bank whose sole interest is in preventing bad loans but for someone like me; my primary focus is in the right business to invest in. the data was actually revealing with Church ranked as number one business outfit with the highest weekly turnover and Baba Ijebu was ranked number 2.
Ok, I decided to take a one-week break from all my business activities only to resume today to a hacked site. Wow! Humans can decide to be frigging wicked whenever they have the power to. Well, no need to dwell on the negative; I would just have to rebuild my site again. My week off was spent watching all kinds of serial program from The Complete Apprentice Season 8 to the Complete 7th Season of 24 down to the complete Season 4 of Prison Break with the final «not-yet released» Final Break (to be released July 21st) which happens to be the last chapter of the Prison Break except they bring Michael Scofield back from the dead.
Three years! Wow, I cannot really believe it: This site has existed for three years and today marks the beginning of the journey of bringing educative, informative and thought-provoking contents to you. I am really not sure of how to contain the emotions I feel but looking back at the decision to float this site, I cannot believe the amount of people that have been exposed to it and have reasoned with my points of view. Some have decided to continue enjoying my contents while others have been polarized by it and visit it whenever they find something beneficial and some have been totally disgusted by it and stayed away. The stats so far speaks for itself; 1.7 million Page loads, 535 thousand unique visitors, 219 thousand returning visitors, 12 thousand approved comments, 280 articles and 1 blogger.
Do you rather I tell you some home truth or sugar-coat the realities on ground? I think I would choose the former; if you are reading this article, you have a maximum of a 100 years to live (well, I still have to sugarcoat it). Look at where you are today; do you think you would be where you are today if you made an alternate decision in the past. For example, if you chose not to go to school, you are likely not to be reading this article; you are likely not to have the friends you have; you likely not to be married to the person you are married to or working where you are working. It is funny how past decisions affects where we are today.
Seriously, whenever I see a landlord, I see a smart investor especially in a country like Nigeria where there is neither price regulation nor downward review of commodities. Landlords have covered all the aces of investment – capital gain and leasing. Think of it, every investment follows these two patterns of investment. Where do I begin from?
