Analyzing the Stock Market

Average time to read5:45 minutes aprox.

One of the site commentators (Royal_Prince) asked a sincere question about how to judge the stock market; I was first taken aback by the question then I realize the pure sincerity associated with the question. So many workers rely on brokers to give them advice on where to position their funds in the Nigerian Stocks Exchange and deeper analysis of this trend reveals a worrisome future; you make some money by working 70% of the day and you are asking someone to decide how to manage the money. The hilarious joke about this trend is that the person you are asking to create this money for you may not be able to create this money for himself/herself. It's like consulting the herbalist who cannot afford a decent consulting room and you see guys with hummer jeep asking for his/her advice. You are sure that you would be sacrificing something that herbalist himself /herself can never sacrifice to get to the position.

THE CULTURE OF A SUCCESFUL INVESTOR

Average time to read8:43 minutes aprox.

I am very sorry that I have been MIA for a while; what can I say? I have been uber busy but don't fret; I am working pretty hard to bring to fruition the vision of financial independence. I have had a secret fear for some time now especially those days I was under the payroll of various corporate establishments. In order to provide temporary solution to this fear, I learnt the skills of office politics, arse-licking, clichés, show-offs and diplomacy but I found out these skills were band aids to a deeply rooted issue. I was so scared that I lost my soul; I have cars, land properties, investment portfolios, small businesses, etc which I guarded with gusto but I failed to guard the most important asset in the world – my soul. I was so afraid that my soul was in constant torment.

7 REASONS YOU SHOULD NEVER RELY ON PENSION

Average time to read8:54 minutes aprox.

My friend's mother's burial at Isele Azagba, Delta State, last week forced me one more time to look at the reason I am on this earth. I am very happy I crossed 7 seas and 7 mountains to support my friend in this very low point of his life but what really hit me was the heavy reflection that came with sorrow and pain. Sorrow and pain gives wisdom to the simple and re-enforces one to follow his true calling. King Solomon of the Bible could not have hit the nail on the head more when he said it is better you spend time at funerals than at festivals. For you are going to die, and it is a good thing to think about it while there is still time (Ecclesiastes 7:2, the Living Bible).

5 LATENT INVESTMENT LEVERAGES REVEALED

Average time to read10:45 minutes aprox.

It's time for another jolly trip to financial literacy; this time I would attempt to open your eyes to spiritual elements that affect investment. They are leverages that are oblivious to average investors and mostly ignored. They are the foundation to all investments and mostly practiced by the greatest investors of all time. Like most of you are aware, Uncle Dipo is always very generous to reveal the secrets:

NNC bags Land Deal

Average time to read2:09 minutes aprox.

I just got back from Uyo for my father-in-laws burial and I saw the mail below in my in box. My first reaction was to log into my NNC profile and secure as many plots of land as I can but I decided against it. I knew I was only thinking with my business instinct so I went on my social platform to see how many people would vie for the piece of land before accommodating mine. Something in me keeps telling me only few can see the opportunity inherent in this deal because so many people cannot just be smart; it defies the law of nature but against my better judgment, I would wait it out and pick one or two plots to see how many people would get the rest. This is the mail:

THE EXPERIENCE

Average time to read1:58 minutes aprox.

When This Day Newspaper came up with their Music Festival importing artists from the United States to grace our humble stages in Nigeria, it was regarded as an unprecedented act though it was received with mixed feelings. The high point of the events was not the caliber of first rated musicians from Beyonce, Jay-Z, P.Diddy, Snoop Dog, etc, it was the Hundred Thousand naira ticket that was charged at the gate. Nigerians shook the world again by filling up the hall with a charge of about 800 USD (wow, just to watch a show!)
